At Vanst, we talk a lot about how much our attorneys love working virtually.
Our clients also love the virtual business model. For example, a new client was reluctant to hire a Vanst Partner after only speaking with them on the phone. The client literally wanted to shake the Partner’s hand first. So the Partner drove to the client’s office, shook his hand and picked up the retainer check for the new matter. The client was thrilled that he didn’t have to get in his car, drive to a law office, and look for parking; all of which would have eaten up a considerable amount of his day. Stories like this are why Vanst’s virtual model is a win-win for everyone.
Cost savings are passed on to the client. Working in a virtual law firm means decreased personnel and no physical office costs. This gives Vanst Partners the ability to provide lower billable rates than traditional law firms.
Attorneys are more accessible to clients. Because our attorneys work from home or co-working spaces, they are able to meet clients where it’s convenient for them. Our attorneys are more flexible, accessible, and more relatable.
Each attorney is a Partner maintaining their own book of business. This model benefit clients because there are no hourly minimums unilaterally imposed on Vanst Partners by the firm. Our Partners are nimble and empowered to make the best decisions for the client.
Technology and virtual law efficiencies allow attorneys to focus their time on practicing law, not administrative tasks. Our attorneys are given the tools to do what they enjoy most: practice law and be advocates for their clients.
Founder and CEO
Cynthia Morgan-Reed went to law school to be a different kind of lawyer. Initially she wanted to practice public interest law and save the world. Instead, after many law firm experiences where she earned her right to call herself a survivor, she decided to change the culture; one attorney at a time. She launched Vanst because she knows that every attorney has the right to live a meaningful life and practice law. And every attorney deserves to be paid what they are worth.
It doesn’t matter the issue: audits, collections, appeals, international disclosures, grumpy people— Allison enjoys fixing problems. Most clients that she takes care of have a stressful issue and they need help to understand it and get a quick resolution.

Vanst Law believes the best way to practice law is with happy attorneys. Attorneys that are happy in their career are more solution oriented, productive and focused. And who doesn’t love being around a happy, positive person? Part of the reason we are so happy is that Vanst allows attorneys to practice where they want, when they want. We operate virtually: no long commutes to an office, no face time, no office politics. We lower our carbon footprint and increase our impact.
Our attorneys love what they do and are successful doing it. All of our attorneys are partners with years of experience and clients they are dedicated to serving. Vanst’s virtual platform provides the means to service our clients more efficiently, at less cost, and with more flexibility. Our modern, virtual approach drastically cuts down the overhead costs normally spent on office space, paper files, cavernous lobbies and administration: cost savings that can be passed on to the client through lower billable rates.
