Vanst Law adds Civil Litigation Partner Jacqueline S. Vinaccia

San Diego, CA — Vanst Law, LLP has added Jacqueline S. Vinaccia as an additional partner since opening its virtual doors in Sept. 2018. Vinaccia is a trial attorney with extensive experience in business, real estate, and land use litigation, general tort liability, insurance litigation and coverage, construction disputes, toxic torts, and municipal law.

Vinaccia was a partner and the head of the litigation department for 11 years at Lounsbery Ferguson Altona & Peak LLP where she assisted the firm’s clients with their business, real estate and municipal litigation, trial and appellate work. She will begin at Vanst on January 2, 2019.

She believes bringing her book of business to Vanst will allow her to provide her clients with next level creativity and efficiency in resolving their legal matters. “At Vanst, I will continue to provide my clients with the highest-level legal services and integrity while adding a new level of creativity,” said Vinaccia.

Vinaccia is also an expert witness in legal fee analysis and audits. She has assisted several business clients and large insurance companies in resolving attorney fee issues. Her attorney fee analyses have been cited by the U.S. District Court for Northern California and Western Washington, several California Superior Courts, as well as various other state courts and arbitrators throughout the United States. Additionally, she has published and presented extensively on the topic of attorney fee invoicing, including presentations to the National Association of Legal Fee Association (NAFLA).

Before her tenure at Lounsbery Ferguson Altona & Peak LLP, Vinaccia was with Lewis Brisbois Bisgaard & Smith LLP for 14 years. She is a graduate of the University of San Diego School of Law.

At Vanst, all attorneys are partners with their own book of business. They set their own rates and decide when and how many hours they work. Attorneys in traditional firms often must work harder to pay for the firm’s large office space and personnel overhead. At Vanst, attorneys take home 70 percent of what they collect from clients, compared to the traditional 30 – 50 percent attorneys are paid at traditional firms. Additionally, there is no centralized office, which significantly cuts down overhead costs.

Cynthia Morgan-Reed, a San Diego land use attorney, launched Vanst to provide a firm where attorneys are treated equitably, paid what they are worth, and work in a culture that empowers them to do what they do best: practice exceptional law.

“Adding Jacquie to the Vanst team as our newest partner is wonderful for our growing virtual law firm,” said Morgan-Reed. “Her stellar legal reputation, litigation experience and values are a perfect match to the Vanst culture. Jacquie will provide outstanding service to Vanst’s clients.”

Vanst currently has attorneys in San Diego practicing in the areas of business and corporate, land use, lobbying, real estate, and tax law. This modern law firm is seeking qualified California attorneys in the following areas: business and corporate, intellectual property, litigation and dispute resolution, trust and estates, land use, and real estate. Vanst plans to expand its offerings throughout California and across the United States.
