Our attorneys must meet our stringent standards and have:

  • At least seven years of experience in the practice of law (though most of our
    partners are in the 15 + year range)
  • Majority of training and practice experience with a large law firm
  • Strong educational credentials from respected institutions
  • Adherence to the highest standards of legal ethics and professionalism
  • Exceptional skills and knowledge in their primary practice areas
  • Maintaining the highest levels of excellence through continuing legal education

Creating Vanst

Ms. Morgan-Reed gave up her solo practice to launch Vanst because she is a feminist and believes that all people, regardless of race, gender, color or creed should be paid what they are worth and treated fairly. After her own law firm experiences of sexism, discrimination, and pay inequity, she excelled as a solo and obtained the financial freedom and flexibility she desired. But she continued to be frustrated with the stories of her colleagues and friends that mirrored her own negative experience in traditional law firms. These were strong, smart people who loved what they did, but were continually beaten down by the law firm structure in which they were practicing. A structure that failed attorneys and clients alike. Vanst was born of the desire to provide a firm where attorneys are treated fairly, paid what they deserve, and exist in a culture that empowers them to do what they do best: practice exceptional law.
